Tissue-specific Chromosomal Non-histone Protein Interactions
نویسنده
چکیده
A group of chromosomal non-histone proteins with affinity for DNA (NP) was isolated from rat liver and Novikoff hepatoma. This fraction, which represents less than 5% of the total chromatin protein content, binds preferentially to unique, double-stranded sequences of fractionated homologous DNA. The interactions are strong at low ionic strength (K, = 6.7 x lOme M) and decrease with rising salt concentration. Complexes of the NP protein fraction with homologous DNA are immunologically tissue-specific. As determined by microcomplement fixation, the NP proteins in Novikoff hepatoma are associated with the transcriptionally active, diffuse fraction of chromatin.

متن کاملP-116: Absence of JMJD1A, A Testis- Specific Histone Demethylase, in Tissue Samples of TESE Negative Men
Background During mammalian spermatogenesis unique and dynamic epigenetic events occur leading to chromatin condensation. Through these events, histone demethylases such as JMJD1A play important roles in compaction of sperm chromatin, due to regulation of histone methylation dynamics and alteration of chromatin structure. As histone methylation is one of the best-characterized modifications i...
متن کاملCHROMOSOMAL PROTEINS IN PULMONARY ALVEOLAR MACROPHAGES
In this study the nature of chromosomal proteins, his tones and nonhistone in resident alveolar macrophages was investigated in comparison to peritoneal neutrophils and calf thymus proteins. Cells were obtained by lavaging the lung and after purity determination they were subjected to fractional extraction procedures. Proteins were then analysed on SDS polyacrylamide gels and densitometric...
متن کاملConstruction and Analysis of Tissue-Specific Protein-Protein Interaction Networks in Humans
We have studied the changes in protein-protein interaction network of 38 different tissues of the human body. 123 gene expression samples from these tissues were used to construct human protein-protein interaction network. This network is then pruned using the gene expression samples of each tissue to construct different protein-protein interaction networks corresponding to different studied ti...
متن کاملComparison of chromosomal protein patterns of thymus and liver in cattle, sheep, goats and pigs.
Chromosomal proteins in the thymus and liver tissues of cattle, sheep, goats and pigs were analyzed electrophoretically. Only minor differences in histone H1 subfractions could be detected between the four species. In the 300 mM NaCl soluble fraction of nonhistone chromosomal proteins (NHCP), tissue- and species-specific qualitative and quantitative differences were found in the protein pattern...
